Special Committee Chairs
Eisenhower Cabinet - Sarah Lott
Sarah Grace, a junior, cannot wait to co-chair the Eisenhower Cabinet with her friend Sonali Dabhi. Prior to this year, Sarah Grace was a vice-chair for the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee and in eighth grade participated as a delegate in Walker Model Congress. Her love for American History, or really any history in general, led her to her position as a chair. She looks forward to helping with the delegates in her committee and leading discussion. In her free time, Sarah Grace enjoys reading, playing viola, telling Sonali to calm down, and eating a variety of her favorite kinds of macaroni and cheese.
Eisenhower Cabinet - Sonali Dabhi
Sonali Dabhi, a junior at Maggie Walker, is super excited to be the co-chair for the Eisenhower Cabinet. This will be her third year participating in Walker Model Congress, last year she was a vice chair for the Lobbyist Corps and in eighth grade she attended as a delegate. Her interests include history and biology and she someday wishes to become an ophthalmologist. Outside of school her hobbies include reading, listening to music, playing piano and tennis, and talking about how much she loves chocolate pie and puppies. Sonali looks forward to helping the delegates in her committee debate this year’s topics and participate in this year WMC.
Executive Office of the Central Intelligence Agency - Ben Milburn-Town
Hello! My name is Ben and I'll be your CIA Co-chair for WMC 2016! Now buckle up and make sure all hands and feet are in the car at all times. You might ask, what does Ben like to do in his free time? Well, it's a myriad of things including: playing my jaw harp in the wee hours of the morning, taking my 6-12 cats on long walks at the beach, drinking, and being single handed. I aspire to own a medical lubrication repository in the future, as well as a Gourmet Waffle House. I can't wait to see all your shining, opalescent faces come Conference Time! xoxo Ben
Executive Office of the Central Intelligence Agency - Dolan Edinboro
Dolan Edinboro, a senior at Maggie Walker, is thrilled to be co-chairing the Executive Office of the CIA. Dolan fell in love with Walker Model Congress at WMC 2014, when he was able to vice-chair for the Cabinet of the United States. In his free time, he runs track, plays soccer, and explores the culinary treasures of the world. Don’t challenge him to karaoke, because the singing truly may never stop. After an amazing CIA last year, he’s back for more, and can’t wait to be blown away.
Republican National Convention 2016 - Robert Morris
Republican National Convention 2016 - John Metz
John is a veteran of Model Congress and Model Congress, and hopes he won’t get too emotional during his third and final WMC. John is a senior at Maggie Walker with a strong interest in history, languages (German, Arabic, and Russian), and international relations. Last year he immensely enjoyed the opportunity to put middle schoolers to sleep as the chair of the Federal Reserve Committee, and he can’t wait to see what perverse plots the ladies and gentlemen of the RNC can contrive in their quest to rid this beautiful country of liberalism, socialism, and french fries (but not necessarily in that order).
Joint Crisis Committee: Federalists vs. Anti-Federalists
Federalists - Kiersen Mather
Federalists - Parker DiPaolo
Democratic-Republicans - Jake Holweger
Hello all! Jake Holweger, a sophomore, is excited to chair the Democratic-Republican committee! It will be an exciting time and he can’t wait to share it with you. Outside of school, Jake is on the robotics team and enjoys tinkering with weird electronics, riding and working on bikes and learning about Norse history. You can usually find him scribbling something in a notebook. He is hoping to help run a successful committee and is eager for WMC 2016 to kick off!
Democratic-Republicans - Collin Thomas
Collin is a senior at Maggie Walker. This is his first WMC Conference ever and he is excited to be chairing the JCC. Outside of school, he likes eating food, being with his friends, walking his dogs, and playing soccer. He is looking forward to seeing what WMC is like and to chairing a great committee.
